Inside the Matriarch's hut, Ildico watches a tense, dialogue-light sequence as the healer applies poultices and murmurs incantations over Ernak. Days blur. With her son out of immediate danger, Ildico is given time to rest. The reprieve allows the full weight of her grief to surface. A quiet moment looking at Ernak wrapped in his father's cloak triggers a flashback. Scene Anchor: The palette warms as we see a tender, intimate conversation between Ildico and Attila about their unborn child and the future he envisioned. Returning to the present, tears stream down Ildico's face. Thought bubbles convey her sorrow: 'You promised us a world, Attila. Now all I have is this fragile moment.' She finally allows herself to mourn the man, not just the king.
