Nearing her destination, Ildico reaches a wide river, the last major obstacle. She pays a lone, shifty-eyed ferryman with some of her remaining silver for passage. The crossing is tense, the fog-shrouded atmosphere thick with suspicion as the ferryman makes probing inquiries. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, revealing a bounty poster with Ildico's face nailed to a post at the ferry dock she just left, confirming the ferryman's treacherous intentions.
