With renewed purpose, Ildico begins the perilous journey north towards Theodemir's territory. Needing direction, she cautiously approaches a decaying Roman trading post. While attempting to gather information about the Ostrogoths, she spots a weathered bounty poster bearing her face, a chilling reminder that both Romans and Huns are hunting her. Forced to flee, her journey becomes more desperate. A second memory of Attila surfaces, this time of him describing a key landmark on the path—a series of peaks shaped like wolf's teeth. This ghostly guidance leads her to the banks of the mighty Danube River, a vast and misty obstacle separating her from the lands of the Ostrogoths. The episode ends with Ildico gazing across the treacherous water, understanding that this crossing is the first true test of her new quest.
