The protected of the bulwark
Duna is a dark fantasy RPG saga about identity, survival, and ascension. The story begins with Mikhaila, a half-orc born between two hostile worlds — raised in violence, shaped by war, and treated as a political pawn. After fleeing a forced marriage meant to seal a brutal alliance, she finds brief refuge with her estranged mother in a remote desert monastery — only to see it destroyed by the same forces she tried to escape. On the brink of death, she forges a pact with an ancient archfey, awakening powers she does not yet fully understand. Renamed Duna, she is reborn not as prey, but as something far more dangerous. This is only the beginning. As the series unfolds, Duna’s abilities as a witch evolve — shadow magic, fate-binding spells, desert-born resilience, and power drawn from pain and memory. Each spell has a cost. Each choice shapes her transformation. What starts as survival becomes ambition. What begins as revenge becomes something greater. This is a story about becoming powerful enough to rewrite the story that tried to destroy you.
